Good news: The door to change is unlocked.
Sometimes we turn the knob and peer into the future with curiosity and questions.
Sometimes it swings open wide, inviting us to step through.
And occasionally, life’s circumstances give us a needed kick from behind, sending us sailing over the threshold.
Why so many options in how we approach the future?
Our willingness to acknowledge and accept the inevitable changes in our lives may be an indicator of how we view the world.
The reality is our unique and individual life-paths usually come down to a few basics. And being responsible for our actions — regardless of the circumstances — is a bottom line truth we can’t ignore.
Because in the end, we’re all held accountable for what we do, how we act, and the decisions we make.
It’s important to evaluate, consider, and reflect before choosing a direction.
For example, if the outcome of our decisions produces a negative result that’s different from what we’d hoped for, there’s often a tendency to start pointing fingers in an effort to deflect blame and responsibility away from ourselves.
