Improving your outlook on life is a choice.

We’ve heard it before — the concept that we can become better, more improved versions of ourselves by making the decision to use different approaches, methods, and techniques to transform our lives.

From adjusting the physical aspects of our environment, to improving our health and fitness, to developing the emotional support systems we create and rely on, the responsibility for changing what isn’t currently working lies squarely with the person in the mirror.

While our efforts are usually genuine and sincere, many of us have discovered we could use a little nudge now and then to keep ourselves moving in the right direction — especially if our goal is to be a happier, more positive person, and an example for others.

In truth, there are a few pitfalls along the road of constructive self-development.
