The good news is there’s no bad news.
The bad news is there’s no good news.
Because news is just news, and nothing more.
We can’t change it, but we can question it.
We can’t alter the trajectory, but we can determine how it will affect us personally.
We can stand firm in opinion and stubbornness or we can get out of the way.
One thing we can be certain of: The news – and typically the person delivering it - has an agenda. Whether you allow yourself to be subjected to the message is up to you.
So the next time you feel emotions rising to the surface when you hear or read news that hits a nerve, consider your options.
Most important, remember who is in charge of deciding whether or not it will have any influence on you at all.
