Discover the truth about separation anxiety and explore a few tips and tricks for managing your stress - regardless of where it comes from …

Maybe I’m being a little paranoid, but sometimes it feels like there’s a retractable leash around my neck.

Even worse, it’s become obvious I’m not the one on the controlling end.

So what’s the reason I’m in a constant state of high anxiety? A small, rectangular electronic device I affectionately named Myrna.

Here’s what happens, all day (and night) long.

I go about my usual activities — squatting at my writing desk, glancing out the window from time to time, getting up to stretch my arms and legs to shake that prickly feeling keeping me from concentrating on my work. I might even take a bathroom bread or head to the kitchen for a light snack.

And that’s when that “what-was-I-thinking” leash activates, yanking me back to my senses. My stress level spikes, adrenaline racing through my body leaving me in a helpless state of high anxiety.

What causes this massive change in physiology and emotional balance?
