Our Human Hourglass Has No Guarantees
Why you should follow your heart - right now.
It’s been suggested that everything we do is an experiment.
If this is true, it’s good news — at least to me.
Because it means I can approach situations, people, and experiences with not only a curious mindset, but one that essentially requires me to be neutral, open, and non-judgmental. At least until the results come in.
Still, I realize there are likely to be a lot of unknowns, wandering loops, dead-ends, disappointments, and frustrations to deal with that may skew the outcome.
Yeah — sure sounds like life.
I told myself there was an upside to adopting this kind of perspective.
Certainly, most if not all of my “life tests” would provide a few worthy conclusions to draw upon — lessons learned, wisdom to be shared, inevitable battle scars, and the ability to recognize the difference between opportunity and a clear and present danger.
As I settled into this interesting mental mode, I began to wonder how many experiments I have left before my time runs out.
Frankly, I don’t think I’m alone in questioning the inevitable.
