We're all dreamers - imagining a future place and time when we've accomplished our goals and are enjoying the benefits of our labor.

The reality?

That time and place may never arrive - or even exist. Yet we maintain a strong belief - an unwavering confidence - in the reality of tomorrow.

For example, we often rely on the possibility of distant answers or solutions whenever we experience change in our lives. Whether in the form of unwelcome situations, personal responsibilities, or obligations pushed aside for far too long, we've trained ourselves to dismiss the consequences of our inaction into the future.

And we do it without a second thought.

But here's the problem

Change is a constant of life - a persistent companion. And the longer we attempt to ignore it, the worse the final outcome.

The reality is that a future place and time - also known as later, when we'll have nothing else to do and tons of energy to solve all our problems - never materializes. By its very nature, the purpose of the future is to motivate us to fully participate in the here-and-now.
