If You're Relying on Using "The Secret" to Change Your Life, You're Probably Disappointed
Ditch your daydreams and get real

Think about something you want to happen or appear in your life, and it shall be yours.
At least, that’s what proponents of the Secret want you to believe.
Apparently, if we trust in the concept of imagining an ideal scenario — with no limits or barriers — somehow the universe will magically and conveniently bring it our way.
In my opinion, there’s a glitch in this mental process. Because fantasizing about the things you want, need, or must have simply isn’t enough.
What am I talking about?
Expecting the universe to deliver your deepest desires to your doorstep can leave you feeling disappointed, frustrated, and resentful.
Using your imagination to conjure up an idealized picture of perfection is mostly about fantasizing. Engaging in this type of mental meandering without a practical basis to work with gives you (and the universe) very little to work with.
Here’s the question: Do you use the dangling carrot of the Secret in an attempt to daydream your goals into a tangible form of reality without an honest mental commitment?
The truth is many folks hallucinate their way through life, using unrealistic ideals that result in never having, doing, or achieving anything important or meaningful. And the finger of blame is usually pointed in the opposite direction.
So how do we make our perfect life begin to take shape?
When you approach something truly important to you with a deep sense of belief and confidence, it triggers a level of energy and awareness that taps into your inner power — the one that can connect you with your goals.
In an article by Jack Canfield, he suggests using positive affirmations to keep yourself focused on your goals and to raise your vibrational frequency up to match the frequency of the reality you want to create.
“Positive affirmations are a powerful tool for self-transformation and a key element in creating the life you desire.” — Jack Canfield
Belief focuses your attention — with intention.
And that’s the crux.
Because if you believe strongly enough in your priorities and goals — and use positive, confident affirmations focused on who you want to be and how you want to experience life — you will start to act, think, behave, and talk with conviction.
Keeping your intentions in the forefront — without fantasizing about all the unrealistic “what if’s” — will put things into perspective and, perhaps, deliver just what you’ve been envisioning for your future.
